Smoothies with Style...

Today I am re-posting a recipe I first posted at my daughter's site, Trendy Treehouse (see her button on this page). I had posted a few recipes on her site before I started my own blog. AnyHoo....I have received a few requests for my smoothie recipes since the "Quick & Easy Easter Breakfast" was posted last week.  So please enjoy the recipes below...NeeCee

Strawberry & Peach Sorbet Smoothie...

 NONNY'S WAY..My Mom is here to share a recipe today! She goes by Nana. But when our son began to talk, he would call her | NONNY | I have always thought it was cute. It never really did stick, but thought it would be fun to use it here on the blog.

So here is the recipe | Nonny's Way |

You will need...
  • 4 cups strawberries, frozen, do not thaw
  • 4 cups peach halves, frozen, do not thaw
  • 4 cups white grape juice
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 can whipped cream for garnish
  • 8 large strawberries, fresh & washed, pat dry
How to make this yummy treat...
  • Mix the first four ingredients together in a blender or smoothie machine until mixed well.
  • Divide evenly into 8 parfait glasses or sorbet dishes.
  • Top each with whipped cream
  • Add 1 strawberry to each dessert

50/50 Orange Smoothies

1 1/2 cups of Orange sherbet
1 cup of ice
1 1/2 cups of vanilla ice cream
1 single drink package of "Orange Drink" Crystal Light drink

Blend well in a blender until mixed, renders 2-3 servings
Top with Whipped Cream 
 Iced Mocha Smoothie
2 cups of vanilla ice cream
1/4  cup of brewed cold coffee
1 cup of ice
2 frozen banana's, cut into chunks
3 tablespoons of Bailey's Irish Cream, *optional
Dash of cinnamon

Blend well until completely mixed, serve 2-3
Top with Whipped cream & a chocolate covered coffee bean

Banana Berry Smoothie
2 frozen banana's, cut into chunks
1/2 cups (heaping) of blackberries (or blueberries)
2 cups of vanilla ice cream 
1/2 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of ice
Blend well until completely mixed, serves 2-3
These are perfect to serve with the cereal Sundae's posted on Tuesday this week.
