Bacon Wrapped Dates w/ Kahlua Sauce
My friend made an awesome dinner; Scallop Chowder in Sourdough Bread Bowls with a lovely salad. YUMMY for the TUMMY!
Recently I was invited to a neighbor's for girl's night!
Good Food, Good Wine, & Good Gab!
Those invited were asked to bring one dish....
I chose an appetizer...I had been craving these yummy tidbits for a while.
Besides, I wanted to share them on the Blog for the holidays...
You will LOVE these...even if you don't like dates!

Bacon Wrapped Dates
1 package of pitted dates
1 package of bacon, cut in half
1/4 cup Ricotta Cheese
2 tablespoons of splenda brown sugar, reserve 1 tablespoon..set aside
**(If you use real brown sugar, cut measurements in half)
1/8 cup of chopped pecans
Cooking Spray
Use reserved brown sugar to sprinkle on top of the wrapped dates.
Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes, keep an eye on the bacon
Then pour the sauce over the top of the dates and broil until crisp.
Let set for five minutes and serve...
Sauce:
2 ounces of Kahlua
2 ounces of whipping cream
1 tablespoon splenda brown sugar
Mix well in a container that pours.
