There are two sauces I love to use for several recipes. One is Homemade, the other is a doctored package mix. Both are posted here today, the Crab Omelette's I posted earlier this week, used both recipes. You may view it here.
Homemade Spiked (or NOT) Cocktail Sauce
Homemade Spiked Cocktail Sauce
1/2 cup prepared Old Fashioned Horseradish
2 cups ketchup, I like Heinz
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon chili pepper with lime seasoning
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Dash of salt
*OPTIONAL: 1+ tablespoon of Tequila or Vodka
Mix well and store in refrigerator for 24 hours for fullest flavor, it may be served immediately.
Will keep for 5-7 days in the refrigerator.
Mix & Blend well.
This Cocktail Sauce is AWESOME. (*With, or without the alcohol.)
YUMMY!!
Red Pepper Hollandaise Sauce
1 package of Knorr's Hollandaise sauce
1 cup of powdered buttermilk (made with water)
1 cube of butter
heavy dash of red pepper *careful this pepper is powerful
***
Melt butter, add milk and package of hollandaise sauce, blend and cook until thickened. Add a dash of red pepper, blend and serve!
This recipe adds a special zest to the sauce....
