Vintage Fiesta Chair Redo...

A friend of mine had this chair in her store...When she heard that K-8 wanted to decorate her FIRST College Home in Vintage Cowgirl....
WELL,
Short story shorter....It ended up in my car and headed south!
"Yep! It WAS decided that quick!!!"
K-8 was THRILLED! So....Here is what we did...
My friend had recovered the seat cushions herself....
The box springs needed to be recovered and we wanted to paint & antique the chair.
I had some beige & cream pillow ticking material in the sewing room!
Perfect colors for the box springs of the chair!
With the box springs recovered...we started painting!
We used some paint I had on hand. It was Ruby Red from Benjamin Moore. We did only one coat of paint and let it dry, then we used a walnut stain over the top of the paint to antique it!
We let it dry over night, then applied a couple of layers of clear satin spray.
A close-up of the vintage fabric on the previously recovered cushions.
We found the turquoise throw at TJ Maxx, loved it & the price!
When "She" was all done...we added a pillow to match the box spring!
K-8 LOVED the end RESULTS!
