Snicker Doodles...

Snicker Doodles...my absolute favorite all time cookies!  I made these cookies for a granddaughter's graduation party last weekend. They were devoured!

Ingredients:
        Cookies mix:

  • 2 3/4 cups of flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 cups of white sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons of cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 heaping teaspoon of powdered white vanilla (or 1 teaspoon of liquid clear pure vanilla)
  • 1 cup of butter, softened
Cinnamon Sugar Mix:

  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 teaspoons of cinnamon
Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a large bowl; Cream together Sugar, Eggs, Butter & Vanilla, blending well
  3. In a separte bowl sift together all dry ingredients, flour, cream of tatrar, salt baking soda
  4. Next blend the two bowls together, mixing well to form dough
  5. Chill the cookie dough for at least a half hour or more
  6. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl, set aside for dipping cookies
  7. Roll dough into 1-2 inch balls, roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mix
  8. Place the rolled cookies dough on parchment line cookie sheets to bake
  9. Bake for 10 minutes, after baking let the cookies rest for a minute or two before removing from the parchment paper
  10. Store in an air tight container when not serving
This recipe will make approximately 24 cookies. This recipe may also be doubled or tripled.
