For Sunday Brunch I wanted to try something new and tasty....
Baked Avocado Fries...
Glad I did, they were awesome!
Baked Avocado Fries
I have seen many recipes lately for this particular food....
looked too good NOT to try!
The recipe:
Pam, cooking spray
2-3 Avocado's; peeled and each half sliced into about 4 pieces
3/4 cup of Almond Flour (you may use regular flour)
3/4 cup Panko Crispy Bread Crumbs
1 egg, beaten for dipping
Seasonings; Parmesan Seasoning, Garlic salt, black pepper: to taste
1 tablespoon dehydrated minced onions
Lemon juice, coat avocado with juice to prevent browning
Set oven to 450 degrees, fries will cook for 20 minutes
Add 1 tablespoon of minced onion to the flour for dredging.
Beat an egg, with a fork in a bowl; for dipping.
After adding the onions, add black pepper to taste.
3/4 cup of Panko Crumbs, add Parmesan seasoning and Garlic salt to taste.
Slice the avocado in half, peel and pit.
Slice each half into thick slices. Squirt with lemon juice to prevent from turning brown.
Set up a work station. Dip avocado strips in egg, then flour mix, and lastly, the panko seasoning. Place on a baking sheet prepared with cooking spray or oil.
Bake in the oven at 450 degrees for 20 minutes and serve.
Garnish with Parmesan cheese and serve with ranch dressing or alone.
Totally YUMMY-lish-ous!!!
Serve with a meal or as an appetizer.
We served ours with an omelet brunch. They will go with just about anything...
