Beautiful Makeover Tee-Shirt...

Beautiful redesigned makeover Tee-Shirt....Easy to love even more...
Grandddaughter K-8 wanted to change the hem on her Lacy Tee. We liked the new hem so much and had a little lace left...So, we added Lacy Sleeves/Shoulder Caplets...
The finished product was adorable! And it looks amazing on K-8!
First we removed the lace on the bottom and reattached a shorter lace hem.
Then we added some shoulder caplets...Adorable!
An easy makeover made this Tee even cuter than before!

Cute & Easy Halloween Witch...

A Crafty & Cute Witch for Halloween...
 "Adorable Witch..."
 Just a few items needed:
1 pool noodle
a sharp knife or scissors
black shoes
1 pair of striped knee high socks
 1 witch hat
And... about 10 minutes top!
Cut the pool noodle into four pieces: 2 short, 2 long,
( use the sock to measure, leaving a couple of inches of sock at the top),
with a sharp knife or scissors
Stuff the sock with the shorter piece first in the foot of the sock...
Follow by stuffing the leg of the sock with the longer piece
Next...Place the shoe on the foot!
Use both witch legs and place the witches hat over the top for a table decoration!
The pool noodles allow the witch legs stand up straight and solid....
You can even position the legs to look like she's walking!
"I'm Melting...."
OR...place the tops of the socks under a door and hang her hat on the door knob!
 She is TOO Cute!
You could place the witches hat on the floor next to the legs TOO!
Here she is standing at the top of my stairwell!
Simple as 1, 2, 3...

A Thank You Gift...

I needed 3 Thank You Gifts...We live in a small town...
I didn't have time to drive to one of the neighboring towns and search for SOMETHING...
And I wanted something Simple, DO-ABLE & USEABLE!
So I put my thinking cap on...
I decided to showcase a few local items...But didn't want to use
JUST a paper gift bag...Shoot, anyone can do that!
I wanted some personality thrown in......
I  had decided on some local wine along with a few other items....
So naturally...a Wine bag popped into my head.....BUT I needed a much larger size to included everything. Especially the large loaf of bread!
So, I cut out a much larger version of a wine bag from some heavy weight muslin and burlap, (the burlap was slightly smaller in width, but slightly longer than the main/muslin pattern).
Then I started sewing. I placed the burlap over the top of the muslin , making them into a large wine bag style gift bags. I added twine, (to close the tops), by sewing the twine into the seams.
Included in the bags were; Red Wine, Bread Dipping Oil, a small package of chocolate candies and a loaf of freshly baked french bread. Then I hole punched my business card and attached with the twine.
Ta-Dah....Done!
The bags were very simple to make, I frayed the edges of the burlap, leaving them longer on the top.
A Very Simple, yet a thoughtful gift with some personal touches!
These were so simple and didn't take very long to make.
Best of All...
The gifts were received with Style...

Quick Fix in the Bathroom...

A quick fix in the bathroom...
BEFORE the guests came!
 I had company coming....
AND...the toilet tissue holder (in the guest bath)  BROKE!
Oh well...it was a PAIN anyway! And I mean a PAIN!
It had been mounted perfectly... to HIT your ELBOW!!!!
First...I laid the tissue on the counter!!!! MMMmmm, looks OKAY there! So I placed a marble dish underneath it! WAA-LAH! Not bad!?!
It'll WORK!...Thats ALL that matters! For NOW!
Next....I pulled out the tools I needed!
**(Son-by Love...bought this set for me years ago....I think he got tired of me asking to borrow his!)
And my trusty little screw driver kit.....
**(My Other DAD gave these to me as a gift for the house...SWEET of HIM...Thanks BOB :) I think of you every time I use them!)
SO...back to the problem at hand!
I didn't want to leave the broken tissue holder in place. I didn't want 2 holes in the cupboard!!!! What to do????
MMMmmm....THINK!!!!
I did NOT have wood putty or stain to match! A solution was needed!!!
...FAST!
 IDEA...Popped in MY HEAD!
I had some silver conchos... (only ONE was the Size I needed), so I grabbed an old plastic lid, cut a rough circle/disk. The HOLE was TOO big ON THE METAL DISK USED TO ATTACH THE ORIGINAL HOLDER, (see the center bottom of the photo)! SOOO, I used the new disk (see top middle), put the screw to the Concho threw the plastic and placed it in the metal disk!!!!
SEE BELOW>>>>>
I PLACED THE CONCHO/DISK BACK ON THE CUPBOARD!
TA-DAHhhhh....finished!
NO ugly holes left uncovered! YES...I know it's Horses...AND my bathroom is BEACHY! (Shhhh...I don't think it was noticed!) BUT...it was a solution until I could patch and stain!
BUT....Don't you think this would be CUTE in a Western BATHROOM???
Especially as DRAWER PULLS!!!!
WHY YES, Yes I DO!!!!

This Lamp Shape Rules...

This Lamp Shade Rules the House...
I went to my favorite grocery store, Raley's, yesterday. Went in to buy some staples and a birthday card.
Then I spied this...
I found this plant container in the area of the cards & gifts.
An idea POPPED into my head!
I had just bought some paint sticks to possibly use for a lamp shade. I even thought about using yard sticks.
I had seen this version of paint sticks on Pinterest!
So, I turned the planter
OVER! TA-DAH...Lamp Shade! HOW EASY PEASY!!!!
One drilled hole and I'm in business!!! WHOO-HOO...
I stopped and bought a lamp harp and a finial for the top of the new shade!
I had bought this lamp about five years ago at Target. I love the gray shade and the bronze lamp. BUT, I had recently change the lamps in the guest room....That's when I decided to surprise my Grandson with a new lamp for HIS new room!
I measured the center of the bottom (now the new top) for the hole to attach to the lamp.
It took 2 seconds to drill the hole!
All DONE! I love how it looks!!!!
I found the perfect finial to finish the lamp!
I'm super excited to give it to my Grandson!
Here is the lamp in another area.
MMmmm, I may have to make some lamps for ME!
Here's a sneak peak of my Grandson's room....His Mom is still working on it!!! You will have to check out her blog post at Trendy Treehouse (HERE).
