Kahlua Coffee Brownies...

This recipe is awesome...Diane get raves reviews every time she serves them. You'll understand why when you bake and taste!
Hmmm...Father's Day Treat?
Brownies:
  •  21 1/2 oz box of Pillsbury Deluxe Brownie Mix
  • ( *I had a Betty Crocker mix on hand that had the same amounts listed)
  • 1/2 cup of Kahlua
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 pan. Combine all ingredients and mix. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool.

 Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups power sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons Kahlua
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons of milk
In a small bowl cream butter until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, blend well. In a sauce pan heat Kahlua with instant coffee. Gradually add Kahlua/coffee mixture & milk to powdered sugar mixture. Continue beating until smooth & creamy, spread over cooled brownies.

 Glaze:
  • 1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate (square)
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
In a small pan over low heat, melt chocolate with shortening, stirring occasionally. Drizzle glaze in a horizontal pattern. Immediately with a knife draw vertical lines through glaze. Forming a pattern. Refrigerate until firm.
 Makes 48 bars.
