Super Bowl Sunday Munchies...

With Super Bowl Sunday this week end...
I thought I'd post a couple of easy yet tasty appetizers. Make life easy for yourself...do everything ahead of time. Oh AND...easy, very EASY!
Happy munching!
Chocolate Chip Dip
Chocolate Chip Dip...
 Ingredients:
1 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
1 cube of butter, softened
1 container of vanilla icing, (*I used sugar free)
1 heaping tablespoon of brown sugar (*I used Splenda Brown sugar blend)
1 teaspoon of vanilla
dash of salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup of chocolate chips (*I used classic white)
In a large bowl combine; cream cheese, butter, icing, vanilla and a dash of salt.
Blend well.
Add the brown sugar. And blend.
 Fold in the chocolate chips.
 Fold in the chopped pecans.
Blend well.
This dip may be served with plain crackers, graham crackers, cookies, mini donuts, toast or serve with fruit. Oh the possibilities!
I love the lower sugar version for myself. Others have tried it (the low sugar version) and loved the taste.
Kids and adults love this dessert dip.
It's so good I would consider trying it on celery too!
Enjoy this sweet tasting dessert with style...
(*icing and brown sugar does not need to be lower sugar or sugar free to use in this recipe.)

Salami & Cheese Dip
This dip/spread is full of flavor. Sure to be a hit at your Superbowl Party.
 Salami & Cheese Dip
Ingredients:
1 package (8oz) of cream cheese softened
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 heaping tablespoon of Artichoke Pesto
1-2 teaspoons of chives (*I used 2 teaspoons)
1/2 cup of Muffuletta Mix (Olive Salad), chopped small
1/2 cup of diced hard salami
1/2 teaspoon of Parmesan herbs
Garlic Pepper, to taste
In a large bowl add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, pesto & chives.
Blend well.
*Photo above is of the pesto being added to the above ingredients.
Measure your muffuletta mix, then see below...
Chop fine then add to the cheese mixture.
Blend well with a fork.
Slice and dice the hard salami.
Add the salami to the cheese mixture. Blend well.
Slice extra sourdough into rounds. Serve with the Salami & Cheese dip/spread.
This spread is full of flavor and may be enjoyed many ways. Use on crackers, bread, chips even veggies. Make a sandwich and use the spread instead of mayo and mustard. Hollow out a sourdough round and serve the spread in the bread bowl.
Make a tasting table for the Super Bowl full of appetizers. Do everything ahead of time so you may enjoy the game too!
 This appetizer will disappear quick!
