Bacon Brown Sugar Sausages...

These appetizers are absolutely amazing and sure to be the hit of any gathering.
Bacon Brown Sugar Sausages
There are so many ways to fix these bacon wraps....I sometimes just rummage in the pantry and find "STUFF" I have on hand.
Here is the most popular requested version and voted "The Best" by friends and family.
Oh My Goodness Golly these are YUMMO!
 Bacon Brown Sugar Sausages
1 package of "little beef smokies" sausages
1 pound of bacon, strips cut into thirds
1 cup of brown sugar (I used Splenda Brown Sugar)
garlic pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of dehydrated onions
2-3 tablespoons of brewed coffee
1 tablespoon of crown royal whiskey
I mixed the coffee, whiskey, the onions and 1 heaping tablespoon of brown sugar. Mix well. See below for the next step...
Wrap each sausage in a (1/3) piece of bacon strip.
Place the bacon/sausage in a baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
Drizzle the bacon wrapped sausage with the coffee mixture. Covering the meat completely. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Next mix the garlic pepper into the brown sugar. Then place the brown sugar mixture over the top of the bacon wrapped sausages. Use it all, heap it on!
Place the meat in the hot oven and bake until bacon is done.
This photo shows the meat cooking and the sugar melted. The meat is about half way cooked. See below for the finished dish.
This appetizer is Fantastic! It also travels well. If I take this dish to friends or families houses, I place the finished product in a crock pot and set it on the buffet setting once I arrive at the location. You won't be disappointed!

Yum! I make these too, but my recipe only calls for the brown sugar on top...but reading all the other ingredients you included makes my mouth water :) I will have to modify my recipe next time!
