Bob's Favorite BBQ Sauce
A Rerun Recipe....Worth seeing again...
First posted in May 2011:
Bob's Favorite BBQ Sauce & a Sop Mop!
Every year for Christmas, I try to make homemade treats for family and friends. Last year I made compound butters and BBQ sauce. Here in California we BBQ year round, rain or shine! Well, both items were a big hit....! Our friend Bob, was my biggest fan of the BBQ Sauce, hence the name.  This is for you Bob...enjoy with style

"Bob's Favorite"... Signature BBQ Sauce

1 can of cranberry jellied sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup of juice from a blood orange
(*orange juice may be used instead)
1 1/2 cups of BBQ sauce, *I use Masterpiece Original Brand
1 jar of Chili Sauce, 12 oz size
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 teaspoons of chili powder, "hot Mexican style"
2 teaspoons of garlic pepper
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 teaspoons cumin

In a sauce pan blend all ingredients over medium heat. Cook until everything melds together, about 20-30 minutes. Let cool before storing in glass jars. (I used several canning jars) This will store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
Use as you would other BBQ sauces. (*Bob loves it on boneless ribs for dinner)

To serve as an appetizer:
Heat BBQ Sauce to warm, pour over a slab of Gouda cheese, serve with crackers on the side.                                                                                          Fire up the grill with Style...

**This post is Dedicated to "Bob" a wonder man with a big heart, full of grace, style and class. He lived life and loved living. He was an educator who loved to be educated. He had a quest for Knowledge and admired the Arts. He was accomplished, yet humble.
He had strength and strong convictions.

His proudest moments were shared with his beautiful wife.
He loved her dearly.
A family man who's face would light up with pride when he talked of his children. The undying love for his grandchildren was admirable and pure.

He loved his family as friends and his friends as family!
They were one-in-the-same to him.

He was not only our Friend, but Family; we loved and respected him.
He often would tell people he was "My Other Dad".
This always brought a smile to his face and a twinkle to his eye!
That statement would sometimes spur a questionable eye!
Which in turn, just made Bob grin a little bigger...
I will miss that mischievous smile... :)

Bob's known Me my whole life and My whole life I've known Bob.
But it has only been the last 5 years that we have lived in
OUR hometown... at the same time.

I cherish those years the most, because we became so close.
I will dearly miss "My Other Dad"

Love with your whole heart, while you can...
