Sometimes its good to Wine a little...
I needed to put together some gifts in a hurry. My time lately had been consumed. But, I wanted a nice gift with some thought....Nothing generic!
Something that showed some forethought to my gift!
Operation Wine Bag...
I choose some burlap with a Parisian print, grabbed some twine & scissors.
A piece of standard 8x11 paper, providing a homemade pattern. A Christmas ornament hook and a replacement crystal chandelier fob....
And of course a bottle of wine....
I folded the material in a way so I could cut as many bag patterns as possible....With little waste!
I cut the size I wanted for the bags using my paper pattern. Two bags were connected in the center after the initials cuts across the width of the fabric. Then I cut across the middle at the top of the bags....
One strip equalled two bags.
I measured the width on the top of the bag using twine. Then I doubled the length of the twine and cut it.
On any unfinished edges of the burlap, I zig zagged the material, to keep from unraveling. Then I placed the folded end of twine slightly below the top....This would create a tie for the bag.
I sewed the side seams so the edges were raw....adding an unfinished look to the bag
Voila....A Wine Bag with Style!
Inside the bag I placed some Santa suits for the wine bottles & chocolate candies...
Tied them shut and added a quick & easy hand made ornament!
Ready & Waiting for Santa-Hubby to deliver!
Now that's How to Wine with Style...
