Creme Fraiche...

Creme Fraiche

2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons of buttermilk or plain yogurt

In a jar, stir together the buttermilk/or yogurt and the heavy cream
Loosely cover the jar (I use cheesecloth) . Let it the cream mixture sit at 
 room temperature for 18-24 hours or till thickened
Store in the refrigerator 

Notes: May be used for all types of food & desserts, it will sour, much like sour cream. You may also blend in 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and serve as a topping for fruit & desserts!

Stir into scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, cakes, use cream for shortcakes, as a topping on meats or fruit, & more...
