Steak Marsala served with Whole Wheat Pasta and Yellow Squash
I hosted a Dice & Dinner Night for my girlfriends last Thursday night. I had been craving Steak Marsala so....I made it! Hope you enjoy...
1 fully cooked Tri-Tip, slice into small, thin, bite size pieces.
2 small onions, slice thin
1 heaping tablespoon of minced garlic
2 packages of sliced mushrooms, wash and drain
1 package of Au Jus brown gravy mix
3/4 cup of Marsala cooking wine
1/2 cup of water
4 tablespoons of butter
Worcestershire Pepper to taste
Saute' sliced onions, mushrooms and garlic in the butter until they start to caramelize. Stir often.
Blend together: 1 package of Au Jus gravy mix, water and Marsala cooking wine. Blend well and pour over the mushrooms, onions and garlic. Add sliced beef and stir well.
Season with the Worcestershire Pepper (to taste). Let simmer on low & covered for 10-15 minutes. Serve over Pasta.
Saute'd Yellow Squash
Whole Wheat pasta tossed with garlic pepper and Alfredo sauce or garlic butter.
