A quick stop to a local Thrift Store proved to be rewarding.
At first glance this piece looks pretty decent.
Second glance, reveals a little more......
These were the only furniture (above) markings.
There were a lot of scrapes and scratches.
This "leg" looked like it had been a chew toy for a puppy!
Sanding here and there prepared the book/magazine rack for re-staining.
Half way stained....Half way there
She looks great! Just waiting for a clear coat.
Restored beauty!
Love the dark walnut stain!
Ready to Serve her Purpose with Style...

Thanks Kathy...she was a lot of work but worth the time. Who knows how long we will have magazines....in this internet world, but i couldn't resist her for my guest bedroom redo......
