Plum Drunk Cake

Plum Drunk Cake
     From PineCreekStyle

1 box of Spice cake mix 
1 box of Chocolate cake mix 
6 eggs, (My cake mixes called for 3 eggs per box)
3/4 cup of cooking oil per cake mix
1 cup of brewed, cooled Coffee
1 cup of homemade Plum Liqueur , *the recipe may be found on Pinterest, FB (Our Blog) under PineCreekStyle or replace with 1 cup of water.
1 cup of puréed Plums, with the skins, ( I used my drunken plums from the Liqueur, the recipe left me with about 3 cups after the purée). 

Mix all ingredients together well. Place in your desired pans and grease or spray with oil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 plus minutes...Check for doneness with a toothpick. **I used a large round cake pan and to loaf pans to suit my needs. Use you cake boxes to guide you on temperatures and cake pan sizes.

Simple & Semi Homemade, with extra goodness added!

Frosting: I used Hershey's Dark Chocolate canned frosting with Ice Cream Caramel drizzled on top....along with some roasted, salted pecans! A little sprinkle of coarse salt across the top of the frosted cake adds flavor to  Caramel & Dark Chocolate .
