German Chocolate Cookies...

Beyond Yummy!
We all get extremely busy at times...and then....one more thing comes up!!! "Can you bake.....???" Yikes, sometimes you just can't do it! Well, this happened to me recently. I have been on a whirlwind path for months now, I didn't have time to bake & I was traveling to boot! Our summer ranch is remote and groceries & staples are NOT always available! This is the first "recipe" in my new section, I am creating. Fabulous "Faux-Cooking Recipes"... Much like semi- homemade except, everything is store bought, assembled & put together quickly! The perfect solution to pull off cookies (quick recipes) in a flash.... And best yet,  everybody is happy & no stress!... :)))

German Chocolate Cookies
Assembled by : The CattleQueen @ PineCreekStyle

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of Chocolate Chips Ahoy
  • 1 can of Pecan frosting
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1 cup of Milk Chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of milk (or what I used....Crown Whiskey..my cookies were for Adults)
  • Scant amount of Salt
  • 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil

Can't get easier than this....And you still look like a baking Queen!

 Assembly & Preparation:

  1. Frost each cookie with the pecan frosting, set aside
  2. Mix the chopped pecans with the olive oil, sprinkle with a touch of salt.
  3. Heat the pecans in the microwave or in a small fry pan to lightly toast, set aside and place on a paper towel
  4. Slowly melt the chocolate chips on low (on the stove), adding the liquid of choice, until melted & drippy
  5. Drizzle the melted chocolate chips over the frosted cookies, thin or thick as you desire
  6. Sprinkle a few salted pecans over the top
  7. And you are done! Easy Peasy!

These cookies were a hit!
