"A Boy and his Dog"
This picture was taken of our youngest grandson while the family were out fishing.
Beautiful picture, one of my new all-time favorites!
Below is one of my favorite poems.
Enjoy...
"If a child lives with approval, he learns to live with himself"...
~ a quote by Dorothy Law Nolte
Children Learn What They Live
By Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.
If children:
live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
live with hostility, they learn to fight.
live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
live with jealously, they learn to feel envy.
live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children:
live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
live with tolerance, they learn patience.
live with praise, they learn appreciation.
live with acceptance, they learn to love.
live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
live with recognition, they learn to have a good goal.
live with sharing, they learn generosity.
live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
live with fairness, they learn justice.
live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
