Breakfast Bowl...
I was in a big hurry one morning and needed to eat breakfast on the run. I pulled into a local fast food drive-through for a quick breakfast. I figured I would get some scrambled eggs and or a sausage patty.
Wishing there was more choose from (on the menu that fit my diet), I spotted the BREAKFAST BOWL!?! Mmmm, If I order it with out the fried hash browns....THAT COULD WORK! It was pretty good!
So below is my homemade version...
So below is my homemade version...
Simple & quick to make, even ahead of time, if needed. Easily re-heated and ready to serve for a busy morning.
For this bowl:
5 Eggs, scrambled with a scant of whipping cream mixed in
Slices of prime rib, about the size of a deck of cards, chopped into bite size pieces
1 large potato or equivalent to: canned sliced potatoes
3 table spoons of cheddar cheese sauce per bowl
1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese per bowl
garlic pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of butter, melted in the frying pan while cooking the eggs
2 large stalks of green onions, sliced
Dice or slice all ingredients in advance
Cook steak, onions and potatoes together. Heat until hot, season with garlic pepper
Whip and scramble eggs adding the scant of cream
Pour eggs over hot meat mixture
Cook until done and scrambled.
In 2 bowls, divide the egg scramble. Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of cheddar cheese sauce over the top of cooked eggs. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top and serve.
Yummy and Quick!
So many ways to fix this simple meal.
