Pumpkin's in Topiary

Quick & Easy topiary to make for yourself or as a gift.

 The finished product......These may be used for Halloween & Thanksgiving

 Just a few simple and inexpensive items are required for these topiary. They go together very quickly. I found all of my items at Walmart.
You will need:
Plaster of Paris
Flower Pots
Dowels, *I used 1 dowel for two topiary plants
Artificial Pumpkins of your choice
Stain for the dowels if desired
Glue for the moss and tops of the dowels
Moss for the base of the topiary
Raffia strands for tying bows
Ribbon for the flower pots
Ribbon for ties to be used with the raffia strands
Scissors/small knife
Mason Jar Lids or Heavy Cardboard paper coasters
Double sided tape & scotch tape

I used mason jar lids placed over the holes of the flower pots. This was done so the Plaster of Paris could harden without seeping out of the bottom.  

 In addition, I placed each flower pot on top of a paper plate...just in case of leakage from the Plaster of Paris.
Mix the Plaster of Paris according to the directions on the package. Place the mixture into the flower pots and immediately place your dowel in the center. Let harden, make sure your dowel is standing straight.

 When plaster is hardened, make a small slit in the bottom/center of the plastic pumpkin. Add glue to the top of the dowel and place the pumpkin onto the dowel. 
Let dry.
Add strands of raffia and ribbon. Place moss on the bottom of the flower pot base, glue in place if desired.

 I placed double stick tape (in two spots) to attach the ribbon around the top of the flower pot. Secure the ribbon with a small piece of scotch tape.
