PERFECT...For a Special Mom on Mother's Day! And...really it is so simple to make!
Gourmet Breakfast Burger
*Recipe based per sandwich...
1 precooked Hamburger patty
1-2 pieces of pre cooked Bacon
1 fried egg, with a soft yolk (over medium)
2 slices of white cheddar
1 can of sliced potatoes, drained & fried crispy & hot (about 1/2 can per burger) if stacking
*see directions below
1-2 tablespoons of butter
1 Sourdough English Muffin, split, buttered & toasted
Pine Creek Seasoning (see recipe) or Garlic Pepper
Garnish with Chives & Red Pepper (lightly, its potent...)
*One Wooden Skewer per Burger
Have the Hamburger patty & bacon pre cooked & hot
Grilled/Fried can potatoes, prepared and hot
Toast or Grill the muffins with butter
Fry the egg to medium soft, you want a fairly runny yolk
Divide Cheddar cheese into quarters for layering...
Assemble starting with...
Toasted muffin bottom and layer as such...
- Hamburger patty
- Cheese ,
- 1 or 2 slices of Potatoes,
- Fried egg
Lightly season with garlic pepper....
Next, top the sandwich with the muffin top. The sandwich will have cool down....No worries....
Place the sandwich in the microwave for 15 seconds. The top may slide off, simply place back on top!
***NOW...Use a wooden skewer, horizontally throughout the sandwich, piercing the egg yolk....
Layer the remaining cooked sliced potatoes, carefully on the skewer, in a stacking motion.
Garnish with chives and a sprinkle of red pepper...remeber a little goes a long way.
And Serve! **Sandwiches may be assembled and placed in a warm turned off oven, then served at the same time. I would probably do 2 or 4 at a time, less stressful. :)
